AmeriSave HELOC rates
AmeriSave does not publish HELOC rates; it asks you to request an online quote. Its comparison table calls the HELOC rate “fixed and tied with the prime rate,” while another section of the same page warns about variable-rate changes, so ask whether the rate on your offer is fixed or variable.
AmeriSave's “Meet or Beat” $1,000 offer is not valid on HELOCs, according to its licensing page. For what borrowers actually paid on HELOCs, see HELOC rates.
How AmeriSave's HELOC works
Its FAQ says you get full access to your credit line at closing, followed by a 10-year interest-only period and then a 10 or 20-year repayment term. Another section of the page describes a choice of 3, 5 or 10-year draw periods, and a third answer mentions 20 or 30-year terms. Because the page describes the structure in more than one way, confirm the draw and repayment periods on your offer.
Worked example (our arithmetic): at a 90% combined loan-to-value limit, a $400,000 home with a $250,000 mortgage leaves up to $110,000 of borrowing room (90% of $400,000 is $360,000, minus the $250,000 you owe). The home equity calculator runs the same math on your numbers.
AmeriSave HELOC requirements

AmeriSave HELOC fees and closing costs
Closing costs apply, and AmeriSave says they are typically lower than on first-lien loans. It does not publish origination or annual fee amounts for the HELOC. On its home equity loan page, it says closing costs typically run 2% to 5% of the loan amount.
Where AmeriSave's HELOC is available
AmeriSave says “not all products and options are available in all states” and does not publish a HELOC state list. Check your state when you request a quote. It does not publish a funding time for the HELOC.
AmeriSave home equity loan
AmeriSave also offers a fixed-rate home equity loan: $25,000 to $500,000, a 640 minimum FICO score (“That's AmeriSave's threshold”), up to 90% combined loan-to-value, and 20 or 30-year terms per its FAQ. Closing costs typically run 2% to 5% of the loan.
Its page reports a median approval time of 16 days and an average of 21.2 days for home equity loans approved June 2024 to January 2025.
